Most online communities have one thing in common: the people who show up consistently are invisible. They answer questions, share their projects, help a stranger troubleshoot a problem at 11pm — and nothing marks that. No record of it. No acknowledgment. They just keep showing up anyway.

That's always bothered me. So we built something to fix it.

Community Has to Mean Something

The Guild Ranks system is not a gamification gimmick. It's not about leaderboards for the sake of competition. It's a record of who you are in this community — and it's built around the same principle that drives everything we do here: Value for Value. You give your time, your knowledge, and your participation. The community sees it and honors it.

There are five ranks — Novice, Apprentice, Journeyman, Mentor, and Master. Each one represents a real stage of growth. Not time served. Not money spent. Growth.

How You Earn Your Place

XP — experience points — accumulates through real participation. Hanging out in voice channels, showing up to classes and workshops, contributing to conversations, helping a fellow member work through a problem. The bot tracks what it tracks automatically. The mods recognize what no bot can see.

That last part matters. Our moderators can grant bonus XP when they see someone going above and beyond. Because some of the best contributions don't happen in a chat box. They happen in a late-night voice channel when someone is stuck and you help them figure it out.

And there's one rule that won't change: ranks don't go backward. Once you've earned your place, it's yours. The journey is permanent.

A Fresh Start for Everyone

We cleared the slate when we launched this system. Everyone started at zero — same line, same opportunity. That wasn't a punishment for anyone who was here before. It was a commitment that this time, the system would be built right from the ground up.

If you were already here, you didn't lose anything. You just have a clean record to build on — and now there's a system that will actually track it.

This Is Just the Beginning

The rank structure is live. The XP system is running. More is coming — including additional ways to support the community and earn your rank that we'll be sharing soon.

For now, just keep doing what you do. Show up. Help people. Share what you know. That's always been the point around here — and now the community will remember it.
